Built tough for demanding material handling, the SDHX250 is a 2-1/2 cubic yard extra heavy duty self-dumping hopper from MECO Omaha. Constructed from 7-gauge welded steel with a 7-gauge base, it handles loads up to 6,000 lbs and ships fully assembled — ready to work the moment it arrives.
Precisely balanced to tip forward for complete discharge of contents, then automatically return to an upright, locked position. A positive locking latch prevents accidental dumping. Welded seams throughout ensure a watertight interior for wet or dry materials. A 2" formed top lip adds rigidity and eliminates sharp edges. A safety chain secures the hopper to the handling vehicle during dumping.

Casters free your forklift for other tasks and give your hopper full mobility across your facility. Available in 6" or 8" diameter — choose the wheel composition that matches your floor surface and load:
- Mold-On Rubber — Best for smooth concrete or tile floors. Quieter operation, protects flooring.
- Steel — Maximum durability for heavy loads. Best for rough or uneven industrial floors.
- Phenolic — Hard resin wheel. High load capacity, resistant to oils and solvents.
- Polyurethane — Good all-around choice. Non-marking, quieter than steel, harder than rubber.

Caster Kits — Available in 6" or 8" diameter in four wheel compositions. Sets of 4 include two swivel and two rigid casters with roller bearings. Can be factory-installed (shipped bolted to the base) or field-installed. Compatible with all MECO hoppers through 2½ cubic yards.

This product ships fully assembled as industrial freight via motor carrier from Omaha, NE. A forklift or suitable lifting device is required to unload — standard liftgate service is not available due to the size and weight of this product.
Freight cost is calculated at checkout based on your delivery location.
